I. Job Objective
a. Attain optimum sales and opex performances through effective and efficient planning, leading, organizing, and controlling of assigned store or branch.
b. Over-all management and supervision of assigned stores' daily operations.
c. Provide excitement to members and an excellent members services experience during their visit to the stores.
d. Ensure safety and security of all members and employees in the assigned store.
II. Management Performance Areas (MPA)
A. Planning
- Discuss KPI and set standards on store operations critical performance areas.
- Develop course of actions to achieve maximum sales growth and gross margin targets.
- Understand assigned stores' strengths and weaknesses versus competitors and foresee opportunities and strengths.
B. Leading
- Instill Landers Vision, Mission, and Corporate Values to all subordinates.
- Motivate and guide the store operations team to work harmoniously.
- Create healthy communication between operation and support teams.
C. Organizing
- Define and arrange activities into logical and practical assignments to attain desired results.
- Delegate appropriate responsibilities to subordinates.
D. Controlling
- Assess and evaluate KPI versus the agreed objectives in order to evaluate proper courses of action and to meet the challenging demands of new situations.
III. Key Results Area (KRA)
A. Membership / Marketing Management
- Strengthen Landers image and brand affinity in the area or locality.
- Effective and timely implementation of membership promotion and activities.
- Improve and grow membership and member retention or renewal.
B. Store Operations Management
- Improve efficiency in Goods Receiving and Front-end operations based on operational standards.
- Create a safe, clean, and secure place for Landers Members to shop and in every employee's workstation.
- Create a member-service oriented environment and culture in Landers Superstores.
- Ensure all machines and equipment inside the store are running and in good condition.
- Approve expenses of the store within the approved budget.
- Ensure that each store and team member are regularly appraised and trained.
- Conduct daily floorwalk and audit of all areas inside and outside/perimeter of the building.
- Improve Ecomm or online business through stock availability and high fulfillment rate.
- Manage and oversee Caltex operations.
C. Merchandise and Stock Management
- Assess and evaluate sales penetration and top articles per department and prepare action plans to improve sales.
- Control and monitor shrinkages, disposal, and expiry of the products.
- Ensure effective implementation of standard merchandising and stocking/display.
- Strategize floor plan layout of the store through proper coordination with VP Operations and COO.
- Plan and direct display movements in EC, highlights, quad display, impulse, COC, seasonal, and showroom display.
- Improve production planning and completeness display through planogram in OB and fresh departments to maximize sales opportunities.
- Balance store stock inventories and ensure availability of stocks.
- Standardize and monitor procedures of overstock/top load, walk-in freezer/chiller management.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly stock key performance indicators; zero sales, end cap report, top SKUs, shrinkage, expiry, disposal/throwaway reports, and NOH.
- Assess and approve Cycle Count adjustments in the store.
- Manage the conduct of Annual Physical Inventory Count.
D. Food Central and Doppio Operations
- Overall management and supervision of Central and Doppio operations, kitchen, dining, and counter operations.
- Evaluate and monitor KPIs and develop action plans to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Control and monitor shrinkages, disposal, and expiry of the products.
- Ensure safety and security of members and employees.
- Ensure member satisfaction in products, service, and delivery service.
E. Store Affiliates
Support and coordinate with store affiliates (Federal Barbers and Capital Care Pharmacy) on improving sales performance and service to the members.
F. Wholesale / Bulk Sales
Develop new channels for volume shoppers or bulk sales to improve sales performance of the store.
G. Cost Control Management
- Effective and efficient use of major equipment and machines which minimizes unnecessary use of electricity while not sacrificing the comfort and convenience of members while shopping.
- Implement effective action plans to control Top Opex contributors in the store: Salaries, Electricity, and Security costs.
IV. JOB QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Accounting, IT & Engineering, Marketing. Preferably Graduate studies or Master's.
- At least 15 years of experience in FMCG or Retail or Mall operations.
- At least 10 years of experience as Area Manager or Regional Manager or GM of a Big Mall.
- Experience in opening and setting up new stores.
- Must possess communication and writing skills in English.
- Must know how to operate MS Office operations - Word, Excel, Pivot, PowerPoint.
- Must know how to use JDE or SAP and WMS.
- Knowledge of Financial Statements and Accounting terms.
- Experience in leading more than 500 manpower.
